BRP, makers of Can-Am ATVs (formerly Bombardier ATVs) is not pulling any punches. The re-badged ATV maker, now famous for over achieving horsepower from its Austrian-built Rotax engines, is completely open about discussing its new Pure Sport 450 4-stroke model now in the final stages of development.

In fact, Can-Am has gone on record making it clear pre-production prototypes of the Can-Am 450 will be raced at some regional events, likely in BRP’s home turf of Quebec, Canada. We’ve actually seen spy shots - maybe a better description would be “glimpses” of the Can-Am 450.

As a result, we’re convinced of two things: 1) This model will not come with a Polaris Outlaw style IRS - instead it will be targeted at the smooth surfaced, big-air style of southern California ATV racing rather than the rough and tumble world of GNCC. 2) This 450 will produce stratospheric horsepower.

If you’re into Pure Sport ATVs and are impressed by all-out power, prepare to see the bar raised when the Can-Am 450 hits the dirt.
