LS2 SUBVERTER HELMET
Admit it. Deep down inside we all want to look cool out on the trail. Some people spare no expense in chasing their desire for a Hollywood star status. Rather than letting your head get too big from an over inflated ego you should protect it with stylish helmet from LS2.
LS2 manufactures a full line of high-quality helmets that not only deliver big on style they also deliver a big bang for your buck. Priced around $200USD / $300 CAD the Subverter MX470 competes at the entry level price point but comes equipped with features found on some of the most expensive helmets on the market.
Constructed from Kenetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) the helmet shell offers just the right blend of rigidity and flex. Three different shell sizes offer a wide spectrum of fitment from XS to XXL.
Its intermediate oval shape, which is longer from front to back and narrow on sides, also makes for excellent fit. Weighing in at 3lbs 3oz for the small and 3lbs 9oz for the large size is another impressive feature for such a well priced helmet.
Inside the helmet you'll find a hypoallergenic liner that is removable and washable. To mitigate head injuries the multi-density EPS liner has a polycarbonate coating that allows the liner to easily slip.
This controlled movement reduces injuries for low speed rotational impacts. Should a rider ever be injured, pull-tabs on each of the cheek pads along with a quick release strap makes for easy helmet removal in case of an emergency.
Adding to its impressive impact protection is its high degree of ventilation. The MX470 Subverter has honeycomb constructed ventilation ports which provide a high degree of airflow. Four forward facing large ports in combination with the chin vents funnel a mass amount of air into the helmet.
A series of 14 other vents located on top and the back of the helmet provides additional ported exhaust ventilation. All told, the series of ventilation ports on the MX470 make it one of the most ventilated helmets on the market and a perfect choice if you’re riding in a hot climate or someone that needs that extra degree of venting
