MBRP CAT BACK DUAL SPLIT T304 STAINLESS EXHAUST
AJ recently installed an MBRP Cat back dual split T304 stainless exhaust system on this writer's personal RAM 1500 Sport pickup truck and the results are impressive.
I'm into sound - not ear melting or obnoxious noise like I've heard from some systems, but I've always liked the stock sound produced by my RAM (this being my fifth one) and it is something I've always been sort of proud to hear when I start up my truck or step on the gas.
I have to admit I was a bit hesitant when the team approached me about installing an aftermarket exhaust because, like I said, I really really like my RAM's stock sound, but I decided to move ahead because I trust my team and I trust MBRP. I'm happy to report that I made a good decision.
You'll see in the upcoming segment that although the RAM's stock exhaust sounds nice, the tune created by the MBRP system is far superior.
Installation went well too. AJ performed the whole install in his home garage and the toughest part of the process was removing the stock exhaust which had rusted in place at a few spots. Everything required came included in the box straight from MBRP and I was impressed by how all the mounting point for the new system lined up perfectly with the stock mounting points so things came together very quickly.
Although I have not Dyno'd my truck yet following installation of the MBRP system, I immediately noticed the performance difference especially on the highway. Optimal exhaust flow and reduced exhaust temperatures have the 5.7L Hemi working at maximum efficiency and the difference can be felt at each stab of the throttle.
The best part though is that melodious exhaust note produced by the MBRP Cat back dual split T304 system. Cab noise is not offensive at all and so far none of my neighbours have complained about my upgrade, though it does turn a few heads when I step on the gas.
Watch for this segment airing this week on OLN and Sportsman Channel in Canada and on Outdoor Channel across America and coming soon to our YouTube Channel.
