Crime Scene & Emergency Medical Services Training

On Saturday September 10th, 2005 the Ontario ATV Search and Rescue Federation (O-ATV-SARF) will be hosting crime scene and emergency medical service training to all of its membership and volunteers.

Classroom training will commence at 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and will be taking place at the Caledon Community Complex located at 6215 Old Church Road, Caledon Ontario. Guest speakers will be Sergeant Don Webster, Ontario Provincial Police SAR Coordinator, and Detectives Mike Spencer and Larry Larson from Hamilton Police Services.

The outdoor training will take place at 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 16663 Gore Road in Caledon Ontario and will consist of mock scenarios of missing persons along with emergency medical training which will be provided by Maroun Achkar from the Life Saving Company.

The Ontario ATV Search and Rescue Federation is a not for profit organization that provides local and provincial law enforcement agencies with trained volunteers who utilize all terrain vehicles for the search and rescue of missing persons in Ontario. These machines and their operators are a valuable asset to these operations as they can cover vast areas of habitat and land in a short period of time.
