DIRT TRAX 2024 – Episode 13

On this episode of DIRT TRAX…

We travel to a small village in New Brunswick, Canada and immerse ourselves in some ATV folklore meeting up with Dayne Caron to learn how he accumulated over 126,000 kms on his 2009 Honda Rincon 680.

During our visit, Dayne gets the chance to throw a leg over the brand new Honda Rubicon 700 and share his thoughts on its performance and whether it lives up to Honda’s legendary reputation for quality and durability.

Then in TRAIL TECH, AJ begins work on our Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic installing a fully-sealed heated cab and heavy duty Glacier Plow system to get it ready for a full-on cold weather winter evaluation.

Then in TEST RIDE Luke evaluates the Polaris Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar Premium to see how well it powers through tasks and trails.

MBRP MAVERICK R EXHAUST

MBRP’s Performance Series of powersports exhausts for the pure sport side-x-side market have always been rooted in race inspired designs. From MBRP’s perspective, the best way to stand out from the crowd is from the top of the podium.

The latest Performance Series exhaust offering is for the Can-Am Maverick R (P/N: AT-9219PT). The new single exit turbo back race inspired exhaust is made from 3-inch diameter, T304 Stainless Steel. The pre-cut laser welded pipe allows for tight radius bends while also delivering a free-flowing exhaust system. The high flow muffler also incorporates the OEM exhaust tip for easy fitment.

MBRP’s Maverick R exhaust yields a 25-pound weight savings over the the stock OEM system while delivering a noticeable 9 horsepower increase in power, which has been dyno measured.

In addition to easy installation, there’s no additional fuel mapping or programming required. Simply bolt it on and GO!

MBRP will also be offering new tip options for drivers that want to stand out further from the crowd, and are also working on the release of an active-exhaust system for the Can-Am Maverick R.

AJ’s back in the TRAIL TECH shop wrapping up our Project Recon CFMOTO UFORCE 1000 XL build with the addition of heavy-duty bumpers from ThumperFab and a set of VRX Warn winches for the front an rear.

Then AJ has a truly “illuminating” idea and adds TRUX’s Stealth series LED 4.5″ HD flood lights available from Princess Auto, along with installing powered accessories that will keep us connected along the journey.

Then in TEST RIDE, Luke gets down and dirty in Can-Am’s 200 horsepower Maverick X3 X MR Turbo RR.
