Prowler Pro Crew XT Headlines 2019 Prowler Pro Lineup

0

AUGUSTA, GA — Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announces the addition of three new vehicles to its Textron Off Road Prowler™ Pro lineup. The new, six-passenger Prowler Pro Crew XT brings quiet power and performance to the multi-passenger market, while the new three- and six-passenger Ranch editions offer premium accessories and a custom Atomic Copper color for a more customized look.

“We continue to develop state-of-the-art Textron Off Road vehicles that meet a wide variety of enthusiasts’ needs,” said John Collins, Vice President, Consumer for Textron Specialized Vehicles. “The new Prowler Pro XT Crew builds off of the innovative Prowler Pro platform and continues the legacy Textron has instilled in all of its highly engineered brands.”

Similar to its three-seat counterpart, the Prowler Pro Crew XT offers quiet gas power and unmatched reliability, with the addition of a second row of seating. The vehicle is powered by a whisper-quiet, 50-horsepower, 812cc EFI engine offering plenty of power to not only haul six people, but also additional cargo or game. To complement the engine, vibration-reducing mounts and bushings were used, and a tuned exhaust utilizes a rubber isolator with the muffler to lessen exhaust noise.

As a true work partner, the Prowler Pro Crew XT offers all the comfort needed for tough tasks and long days. The vehicle has 10 inches of front and 9.5 inches of rear suspension travel, 10 inches of ground clearance, and 26-inch Pro Terrain tires for a comfortable ride for all occupants. A 2,000-pound towing capacity, 1,500-pound payload and 1,000-pound cargo box capacity allows the vehicle to easily haul six people along with all the gear needed for a long day on the hunt or in the field. For added versatility, the vehicle’s six-person bench seating features removable passenger seats for additional storage space inside the cab. Its customizable and password-protected speed control can be set to ensure ranch and farm hands stay safe while on the job.

For ease of maintenance, the Prowler Pro Crew XT has toolless service components with easy-access panels, so the vehicle can spend more time in the field or at the hunt camp. The vehicle comes pre-wired to easily add accessories, and its standard 75-amp alternator provides plenty of power to operate various accessories and implements at once.

The Prowler Pro Crew XT joins the three-passenger Prowler Pro XT as part of the lineup’s electronic power steering (EPS) offering. Both vehicles are available in Dynamic Charcoal and Fire Red. In addition, the new Prowler Pro Ranch Edition and Crew Ranch Edition feature Atomic Copper paint, premium cut & sewn seats, hard top, halogen headlight with LED accent, HD front and rear bumpers, 27-inch Maxxis® Bighorn 2.0 tires, and a 4,500-lb WARN® winch. Rounding out the lineup is a non-EPS Prowler Pro in Marsh Green.

The Textron Off Road Prowler Pro line is built in Thief River Falls, Minn. All vehicles are sold with a 12-month warranty and will arrive in dealerships this fall. Can-Am Renegade X xc 1000R Pro Kevin Cunningham Outruns the Field at Mount Morris GNCC Race

– Reigning 4×4 Pro ATV champion Kevin Cunningham wins again
– Amateur racers notch four class victories aboard Can-Am 4×4 ATVs

VALCOURT, QUEBEC, CANADA, Oct. 1, 2018 – Can-Am Renegade X xc 1000R racer Kevin Cunningham kicked off the second half of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) season with his eighth 4×4 Pro ATV class victory of the year to extend his points lead. Can-Am racers won a total of five classes and recorded four podium sweeps on their way to a dominating performance at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mason-Dixon GNCC event in Mount Morris, Penn.

“Kevin is so locked in on the Can-Am Renegade ATV. He’s always up front and in contention for the morning overall and class win. It pays off to be so consistent,” said Jeff Leclerc, Can-Am race department, team leader. “The Pro class was so competitive, but the Can-Am amateur ATV racers, also continue to impress me with their level of success. These racers tallied 14 total podium spots against a field of more than 270 total entrants in the morning session.”

Cunningham, the reigning two-time 4×4 Pro ATV class champion, had to overcome some challenges at Mathews Farm from his Can-Am teammates. Bryan Buckhannon, a multi-time GNCC ATV champion himself, held the lead at one point during the first lap and was, again, the official race leader heading into the final lap. However, a miscalculation in fuel ended Buckhannon’s challenge for the win and opened the door for Cunningham to regain the top spot. He held on to record his eighth class win of the year and seventh morning session overall in 2018. One more victory will match his career high set last season. In fact, since the Indiana racer turned Pro midway through the 2015 season, he has notched 21 wins and earned two titles. He owns a 45-point lead heading into the next round.

Can-Am racers Landon Wolfe and Jordan Phillips, respectively, joined Cunningham on the podium to complete the 4×4 Pro ATV class sweep. Can-Am amateur ATV racers also won the 4×4 A (Keith Appleby), 4×4 B (David Dipasquale), 4×4 C (James Eckhart) and the 4×4 Lites (Trevor Payne) classes in Mount Morris.

Can-Am Maverick X3 Racer Corry Weller Wins Two at Glen Helen

0

Weller Racing / Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicle pilot Corry Weller won both Turbo UTV races at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) events at Glen Helen Raceway in Devore, Calif.

Friday, Weller took the lead on lap two and then held off all other racers until the end to notch win No. 4 on the year. She put on a similar performance in Saturday’s race, earning another win and a double podium sweep for the weekend. Weller said she relied on the performance of her DragonFire Racing Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicle during the races. In addition to her double victories, she also posted the fastest lap in both races. Now with five victories on the season, Weller has grown her points lead to 25 with one race remaining.

The events were held on Glen Helen’s .8-mile short course, which is known for both its speed and technical setup. The two-race weekend was the penultimate event on the 2018 schedule. Weller returns to action behind he wheel of her Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo R side-by-side vehicle at the season finale, Oct. 20, at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Ariz. The special Lucas Oil Challenge Cup is to be held the following day at the same track.

“Glen Helen has been a good track for me the past few years, and my Can-Am Maverick X3 is super dialed right now,” stated Corry Weller. “We had a solid weekend. We had no issues all weekend, despite a very technical track and a bit of on-track contact. I am also now firmly in the points lead as we head into the final round of LOORRS coming up next month.”
