With our UFORCE 1000 XL Overland project nearing completion, one of the final steps is outfitting it with the proper amount of lighting to navigate technical trails in the dark and illuminate our campsite at night.

TRUX’s Stealth series of LED 4.5″ HD flood lights offer a broad range of visibility to vehicle peripherals with 2 forward and 2 rearward facing locations.

Each of the 4.5″ flood lights output up to 3,200 lumens to provide ample illumination and feature 7 LED bulbs per light with a colour temperature of 6,500K. The lights are also wrapped in a IP67 waterproof aluminum housing with polycarbonate lens and stainless-steel bracket.

TRUX’s smaller 3.0″ Stealth LED work lamps are mounted to all 4 corners of the roof and provide the perfect amount of illumination of the ground when working on the vehicle and when needing an overhead source of light while camping. Each of the 3.0″ work lights output up to 1,200 lumens and match the color temp and waterproof rating of the larger lights.

Made in the USA, the Terra Cross R/T tire from ITP is said to be designed and engineered to conquer any terrain. With this in mind, we felt this would the ideal tire choice for our Yamaha Grizzly WR700-themed project build.

The tire’s wide footprint and interlocking tread pattern also incorporate wrap-around shoulder lugs which deliver traction and sidewall protection when tackling deep rutted trails. Its 6-ply radial construction is also perfectly suited for the wide variety of terrain we intend ride, ranging from hard-packed rock and ruts, to slick mud and soft sand.

The Terra Cross R/T’s radial XD construction with extra sidewall ply and increased rubber thickness contributes to the tires extreme-duty construction and high level of puncture resistance. Extra-tough rubber compound also extends the tread life and long-lasting durability.

We opted to go with the square 26x9x14 tire size set-up, which is going to provided us with the good balance of rolling ground clearance, relatively low rotational mass and front end grip.

The TerraCross R/T is specially designed for 14-inch diameter sizes and is a great choice for UTV applications as well.

As our special WR700 themed Yamaha Grizzly build nears completion, the selection of wheels and tires play a crucial role in fulfilling the performance aspirations for the project.

Being capable of tackling the harshest terrain at lower tire pressures with our ITP Terra Cross Tires, while also minimizing unsprung mass was pivotable in our decision process of selecting Raceline’s A93 Podium beadlock wheels.

The iconic eight-spoke mesh design is made from heavy-duty A356 aluminum. The robust design is complimented with forged 6061 beadlock rings and US-made Grade 8 zinc beadlock hardware. Collectively this combination makes the A93 Podium wheel one of the strongest wheels available and eliminates any chances of failures as result of the tire bead becoming unseated.

It also doesn’t hurt that the heavy-duty construction doesn’t take away from the A93’s good looks. The A93 Podium is a product that adds sizzle and steak. Available in Satin Black and Stealth Grey as well as being available in a 14-inch and 15-inch wheel diameters its good looks is complimented with the satin black snap-in cap with embossed chrome Raceline logo.
