CORONA, Calif (July 24, 2019) – STI expands its Baja-tough HD9 Beadlock wheel line with the new 4+3 offset applications in the popular 4/137 bolt pattern. This ultra-tough beadlock gives even more UTV owners access
to the STI HD Alloy family.
When used with the HD9 6+1 or 5+2 front wheels, the new HD9 4+3 rear application sets up the Honda Talon UTV with the same track width front and rear. It’s the best way to keep the factory stance on Talon UTVs.
The HD9 Beadlock uses a 10mm thick beadlock ring secured by 5/16-inch grade-8 hardware for extra strength. Plus, each wheel includes a bolt-on center cap and pre-installed valve stem with black sleeve and matching cap.
Available in 14×7 and 15×7 sizes, the HD9 Beadlock comes in two finish options, Matte Black and Matte Black / Machined, along with a variety of color ring choices. Suggested retail prices: $178 for 14-inch and $198 for 15-inch HD9 4+3 wheels.

CORONA, Calif. (July 23, 2019) – STI’s new Out&Back Max 9.5 tire line features four new sizes for UTV owners seeking the best all-around mud tire that also happens to be lighter and a better value. By designing these new tires at 9.5 inches wide, STI was able to deliver tires that are lighter, better handling and available at a 15-percent lower retail price – all with top-notch performance – compared to similar 10-inch Out&Back Max tires.
These new Out&Back Max 9.5 tires are available in four sizes, from 28-inch up to 33-inch. Like the other Out&Back Max mudders, the new 9.5 offerings use stepped, 1.5-2.0 inch deep all-terrain tread that tracks through mud and cleans well. And while the new sizes are lightweight, they remain durable thanks to their 8-ply-rated carcass.
The Out&Back Max 9.5 tires are available now throughout North America. Suggested retail prices range from $230 to $294.

MARIETTA, Ga. – July 22, 2019 – Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, is pledging up to $500,000 in Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative (OAI) grant funds for 2019 to support ventures protecting outdoor recreation. Yamaha is actively seeking organizations who can utilize the available funds, and encourages interested parties to learn more about the program at YamahaOAI.com.
As part of this effort, Yamaha awarded more than $130,000 in funding and equipment to 13 organizations in the current funding cycle, including Wonders of Wildlife’s National Hunting and Fishing Day and various 4-H Foundation chapters, to support efforts protecting and improving access to public land, and educating the public on its safe, sustainable recreational use by all.
“The government shutdown earlier this year put admittance to many public lands and recreational opportunities further at risk, yet thanks to the incredible support of grassroots organizations across the country, many of these properties have remained open for everyone to enjoy,” said Steve Nessl, Yamaha motorsports group marketing manager. “The Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative has been committed to supporting and protecting outdoor recreation for over a decade by providing resources to make a difference in the quality and sustainability of access to our nation’s public land.”
For more than 10 years, the Yamaha OAI program has contributed nearly $4 million in funding and equipment to more than 300 deserving grant recipients across the country. Yamaha continues to seek out OAI grant recipients for projects from ATV, Side-by-Side, motorcycle, snowmobile, and outdoor enthusiasts and associations – all of whom share the common need for land access to enjoy their lifestyle. Projects receiving grants often have a strong stewardship component, as well as an inclusive community of users working together, ensuring all types of outdoor recreationists can enter public land sustainably and safely.
The following grant recipients received funding this past cycle to organize projects including trail construction and maintenance, the building of public restrooms and outdoor facilities, off-road riding safety courses, and national events to encourage and support outdoor recreation. Fifty years ago, mankind accomplished the ultimate off-road odyssey when they landed on the moon.
To honor and celebrate the legends of the Apollo 11 mission, Polaris Industries collaborated with the US Space and Rocket Center (USSRC) in Huntsville, Alabama to create a working replica of the Lunar Rover. As the No. 1 in off-road vehicles, this was the ultimate off-road project for Polaris.
The new Polaris Lunar Rover Replica made its first public debut in Huntsville, Alabama at the USSRC Apollo Celebration Car Show on July 13. The replica brakes, accelerates, and has four-wheel Ackermann steering, like the original NASA Lunar Rover Vehicle (LRV). The fenders were fiberglass molded using the original 50-year old molds that produced the parts that are on the moon. The replica, however, is much faster than the original.
The Polaris Lunar Rover Replica encompasses Polaris’ 65-year history through its use of parts from each line of Polaris vehicles: snowmobiles, motorcycles, Slingshots, ATV’s, side-by-sides, Electric GEM’s and military vehicles.
As the nation celebrates the 50-year anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, the Polaris Lunar Rover Replica is appearing at many events, including:

Members from the original LRV crew and a NASA astronaut worked with the Polaris Lunar Rover Replica team on the project from start to finish. Polaris employees volunteered their time to work on the development of the near-exact LRV replica.
“Having the opportunity to honor legends, work with members of the original crew and lend our expertise and technologies to build this Lunar Rover Replica has been incredible,” said Bryan Ogle, manager of manufacturing at Polaris. “One of the coolest things was being able to mold the fiberglass fenders using the original 50-year-old molds. And now seeing it in action, riding it, it’s amazing.”
Special thanks to the original rover team on sharing the marvels of engineering that have remained inspirational generations later. The Polaris Lunar Rover Replica not only pays tribute to the marvels of engineering, but it will also inspire the dreamers and builders of generations to come.
