FRE/KTM Factory ATV GNCC racer Adam McGill put in an impressive ride to finish 2nd overall at the Big Buck race after a battle for the lead came down to the final turn of the race against Chris Borich.

McGill had a decent 6th place start and moved quickly through the pack to take over 4th by the end of the first lap.

Halfway into the second lap he jumped into 3rd and then into the lead after current front runner’s Bill Balance and Taylor Kiser pulled off to pit.

Chris Borich who also chose not to pit stayed right with McGill and the two begin a wheel to wheel battle for the remainder of the race. On the final lap the two riders came out of the woods side by side.

The final turn came where McGill went wide and Borich went on the inside and just barely edged out McGill for the win. “I continue to get closer to a win every race and hope to finish one position higher at the next round,” commented McGill.

In the XC-2 Pro-Am class FRE/KTM rider and current series point leader Josh Kirkland got a great 2nd place start off the line. Unfortunately he hit a tree on the first lap which knocked him back to 6th.

Brian Wolf held the lead and Kirkland began his mission to track him down. By the end of the second lap Kirkland had moved back into 2nd place but was unable to make a move for the lead and finished 2nd overall.

Angel Atwell continued her winning streak earning another easy win aboard her KTM 525 XC at the Big Buck race. Atwell got the holeshot and battled shortly with Traci Cecco before pulling a gap and continuing on to easily win the race.
