Hamilton Police Services Crime Scene Training

On Saturday May 7th, 2005, the Hamilton Police Service will be hosting a training seminar at the Division 20 community room commencing at 10am. Members from OATVSARF from across Ontario will be attending for this training seminar.

The objective of the training is as follows:

1. A classroom presentation on “Crime Scene Preservation” will be presented by the Hamilton Police Forensic Unit followed up with an outdoor mock search.

2. The OATVSARF members will be directed by the Hamilton Police Service SAR and will conduct several pre-staged searches that the search members will have no prior knowledge of. Members of OATVSARF will be given an opportunity to put the inclass session to practical use.

3. OATVSARF is a civilian group that is offering there services to Police Agencies throughout Ontario. This resource is a valuable tool that can assist in the search and rescue of individuals who become lost in vast areas that require the use of All Terrain Vehicles.
