Question:
I am looking at buying an ’05 HONDA TRX400 EX for $5k OTD and would like to know if this bike is worth the price.
I would also like to know how reliable this bike is and how it compares to other bikes in this class.

Can’t tell you if the particular ATV you’re looking at is worth the price, but I can assure you there is probably no better sport model on the market for resale, availability of good aftermarket stuff and all-round performance.
Although the 400 EX doesn’t have a liquid cooled mill, its a great handler, extremely light and offers excellent off-road trail manners – especially when you stack up ride quality.
I’d recommend this Honda in a heartbeat, used or new!
