Question:
Dear Motorhead,
I currently have a Rancher ES, but it’s starting to get worn out. It is used on a farm so it has to haul heavy loads, go through deep/thick mud, climb over obstacles, basically a workhorse.
My question is should I stick with an ATV or go to a UTV? Any suggestions on either?

Thanks for your email!
Okay, making the move to a UTV is a giant step up the price ladder and I would say from what you’ve indicated moving from a Rancher to a UTV is going to be a big purchase.
You can replace your Rancher for less than half the cost of a UTV/SXS. If you can cross that bridge then the answer to your question is an absolute – yes!
There’s so much more utility potential in a SXS over an ATV it is almost impossible to make a meaningful comparison.
Hope this helps,
