Justin Jones Takes Pro-Am Overall in Arizona

Yoshimura rider Justin Jones continued his impressive form at round seven of the 2010 ITP QuadCross Series in Surprise, Arizona. Jones, riding aboard his Yoshimura-tuned TRX450, took his sixth win of the season and extended his points lead even more over second place.

Justin used the Yoshimura power to his advantage and handedly grabbed the holeshot in the first moto. From there, he put in consistently fast laps en route to a wire-to-wire moto victory.

The second moto appeared to be much of the same, as Jones pulled another holeshot, but a problem with the brakes sent him off track with just two laps left. Regardless, Jones remounted and staged a great charge to the front, unfortunately running out of time and having to settle with second. However, the 1-2 moto scores were enough to take the overall victory.

“My Yoshimura motor worked great,” said Jones after the race. “I got two big holeshots and led the first moto from start to finish. In the second moto, I was pressured the whole time and wound up finishing second, but I still got the overall, so I’m really happy about that.”

Jones has a comfortable lead over his competitors now with just two races left in the series. The next round of the ITP QuadCross series takes place October 24 at Racetown 395 in Adelanto, California.
