Polaris Magnum 325 Carb Question

Question:

Dear Motorhead,

I have a 2001 Polaris 325 Magnum 4×4 with the original carb and its time for a carb rebuild.

I called a Polaris dealer and was told there is no rebuild for the carb on my Magnum. It is a Mikuni BST-32 and asked for suggestions and was told that I would have to order the carb parts I need one at a time. I asked if there was a reasonable replacement carb for it and was told a new carb from Polaris is over $350.

The parts I think need for my carb ( I don’t want to take it apart, then end up waiting for backordered parts) total over $160.

Is there a carb out there by any manufacturer that would bolt in to my machine, keeping my choke cable, throtle cable and airbox stock with very littlt or no modification for around $150?

The ATV is used to push snow in the winter and trail ride in the summer, so I need it to be reliable.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Chris

Response:

Thanks for your email!

I would ask a dealer to check with an aftermarket vendor like Parts Unlimited or Kimpex to see if there are aftermarket parts available for your ATV.

Good Luck

Motorhead Mark
