BRP New Model Intro

0

The All-Terrain Vehicle staff are off to another Bombardier new model intro this fall – the second one this year.

This time we expect to see a smaller variant of the impressive 800 Outlander HO.

Remember the Outlander 330? This smaller version of the OL 400 was discontinued this spring. However, the OL 800 uses two Outlander 400 cylinders and heads to make 800cc’s.

Now, what size engine could you make with two 330cc cylinders and heads? Stay tuned.

Suzuki Rumors Focus On Sport Segment

0

Rumors circulating around Suzuki’s 2006 product launch slated for October indicate the company may have a new stable mate for Yamaha’s YF-Z 450 and Honda’s TRX 450R.

If true, expect it to be based heavily on the potent Suzuki RM-Z 450 4-stroke motocrosser.

The formula for success in the competitive Pure Sport/Race Quad marketplace is linked to the adaptation of a profiled (and successful) motocross motorcycle engine package wrapped in a race ready 4-wheeler frame.

Having trouble seeing behind you while towing? We’ve been using a set of Schefenacker mirrors and are amazed by the results.

Not only are they the best looking aftermarket trailer towing mirrors we’ve seen, but they simply make hauling a breeze because when you can see better, towing is easier and you become a safer driver.

Since they’re telescopic, more peripherral vision is gained on each mirror by pulling them out all the way. Available with heated and lighting options, every hauler should have set of these beauties.

ITP’s T-9 Pro-Lock Wheels Lead The Pack

0

Press Release

Always striving to gain every performance advantage possible, ITP is proud to introduce the all-new T-9 Pro- Lock. This is the most advanced pro-level racing bead lock on the market today and is significantly improved over ITP’s previous bead lock model.

The new T-9 Pro- Lock is a full pound lighter and uses a new, more stylish bead lock ring. The front Pro-Lock wheel utilizes ITP’s integral rolled edge technology instead of a typical welded design, which is lighter and provides more front-end component clearance, without a sacrifice in strength. The rear Pro- Lock features the new outer retention ring as well as our popular, Baja wheel-style, rolled-in reinforcement ring on the inner side.

The T-9 Pro-Lock wheels using two common lug patterns — 4/110 and 4/144 — also feature lug holes with tapered, stainless steel inserts for a more true and secure fi t on OEM wheel hubs that use tapered lug nuts. Like all T-9 Pro Series wheels, the T-9 Pro-Lock is built using state-of-the-art spinning and polishing manufacturing methods which have earned the line a rigorous QS9000 quality certification.

The T-9 Pro-Lock is available in four amazingly light, incredibly strong sizes: 8×8, 9×8, 10×5 and 10×8. Two finish options are available for each: polished and, just released, black powder coat.

For more information call (909) 390-1905 or visit ITP’s website at ITPtires.com.

A Mean Green?

With Kawasaki losing the Suzuki Quadsport badged KFX400 look for the green team to introduce its own Pure Sport model this year.

Kawasaki dealers have done very well selling green Quadsports and likely won’t be long without a model in this growing, profitable segment.

We suspect a more powerful Pure Sport model will emerge from Kawasaki utilizing (as Honda and Yamaha have) technology from the company’s successful 4-stroke motocross bike program.

The Offshore Push

0

The onslaught of off-shore built kid sized ATVs into the North American marketplace has been almost unbelievable the past three years.

While the actual numbers of off-shore ATVs are not officially known for the same reasons as 2-up full sized 4-wheelers, industry estimates peg the number well in excess of 100,000 units; staggering.

Here’s what we suspect is weighing very heavy on the minds of the current big eight OEMs including Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, Arctic Cat, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BRP and John Deere: What if these off-shore models enter the full-sized market in earnest?
